Graduate Student Association for Black Culture Our mission is to enhance community, support, and professional
development among the black community at The Chicago School, with
particular focus on student enrichment. Our
emphasis on community aims to cultivate a place to uplift the
collective voice of black students, while encouraging the multicultural
and diversity goals set forth by The Chicago School. We also acknowledge the need for ongoing student support by promoting the following: fostering student relationships, helping to navigate the graduate experience, and providing social outlets. Lastly,
we hope to establish mentor relationships in the community and
collaborate with other professional associations both within and
outside of psychology in an effort to advance professional development. Membership
in the Graduate Students for Black Culture shall not be discriminated
against on the basis of age, sex, national origin, religion,
disability, or sexual preference and is open to The Chicago School of
Professional Psychology students in good standing with the school.
