The Bilingual/Bicultural assessment interest group focuses on exploring best practices in bilingual psychological assessment and culturally competent psychological assessment. We will explore issues such as: how to go about conducting a bilingual assessment; translating guidelines; the association between language and culture; and validity of test instruments for diverse populations. Speakers will be invited from time to time to share their experiences and contribute to our discussions. This will be a great opportunity for all students and faculty to come and share their thoughts and real-life experiences in formally assessing diverse populations.
