Congratulations on completing the program! Here are some helpful tips to ensure that you get what you need to your future employers.
Petition to Graduate and Ordering Regalia
All students must petition to graduate regardless of whether you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony. To do so, click
here. You will need to log on to eGo and then taken to the Petition for Degree Completion form.
If you are planning on attending the commencement ceremony, you will need to order regalia. Please follow
these directions to get started.
Praxis, Type 73, Transcripts, & Diplomas
All students are required to take the Praxis Exam, School Psychologist (0401). For more information abou the test, click
here. After grades are submitted by your internship instructor, the Chair will work with the Illinois State Board of Education to indicate you are eligible to apply for the Type 73 certification. Once this is complete, students will receive an email informing them they are able to apply for the entitlement. Your transcript will reflect that you have graduated from the program at the beginning of August. For more information on how to request transcripts, click
here. Additionally, you will receive your diploma at the end of August after successful completion of degree audits from the registrar.
NCSP Application
To access the National Certified School Psychologist application,
click here. Please note that you must receive a 165 on your Praxis exam to apply for the certification. In order to obtain signatures from the Department Chair and the University-Based Supervisor, send and include a stamped self-addressed envelope to:
