Mental Caminando Hacia el Bienstar Mental Community Event
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), NAMI Greater Chicago, the Center for Latino Mental Health at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health Education are organizing Caminando Hacia el Bienestar Mental (Walking Toward Mental Wellness) a free Spanish language community event which will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2011: 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Chicago Hilton Hotel (720 S. Michigan Avenue Chicago Illinois) as part of NAMI’s 2011 National Convention. This event will feature presentations on Latino mental health, recovery and how and where to access services and support.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the Latino community to get together and learn about mental health issues. The event is free of charge, however registration is required.
